What is Capricorn?
Capricorn is the 10th sign of the Zodiac, and the last earth sign (Taurus and Virgo are the other two earth signs). It is the "mastery of matter", summarizing the lessons of both Taurus and Virgo (worthiness and dedication), and taking them to the next level: to contribute to the community leaving a legacy.
Capricorn is the sign that symbolizes discipline, responsibility, long term planning, purpose and integrity.
It represents the "father figure", meaning whoever is the head or authority in any organized group of people, whether it's a family, a community, a government or a corporation. The role of that archetypal "father", is to give structure and guidance to the group of people involved. Besides willpower and leadership, Capricorn is highly motivated by integrity of character. Surviving the winter is not enough. We also need to make it through it with our integrity intact, which means that our values are aligning with our actions.

Full Moon in Capricorn: Moment of Reckoning
The Full Moon in Capricorn is exact on July 10th at 2:36pm MT
What you are being shown right now is a real, tangible measure of growth. Capricorn connects to purpose, long term plans and work. We are seeing the progress of an area of life that has been deconstructed, and is being rebuilt slowly, through a process of many years.
Pluto is no longer in Capricorn, but he was uprooting the paradigms of society, authority, and what we show respect to from 2008 - 2024. Considering the length of that transit, this process literally just ended, and Saturn (as the planetary ruler of Capricorn) is the one that has the job of rebuilding what was destroyed in our psyche around these topics.

Saturn in Aries in the Full Moon in Capricorn
With Saturn being in Aries for only a month and a half (out of a total of 3 years) the project that is beginning to be worked on is still in its early stages. We are still dreaming, envisioning, crystallizing something not yet seen before.
This Full Moon can show us these very early stages. What has been under development for the past 6 months (since December 30th 2024, when we had the New Moon in Capricorn), comes to a point that allows us to witness the progress made in tangible ways. The new sprouts show their first leaves.
Saturn is now starting a new process that still can feel unclear. It has just dipped its toes into Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac! With Saturn stationing retrograde on Saturday July 12th, right beside Neptune who is also recently retrograde, the Full Moon is illuminating a seed of growth that is yet to unfold and develop for the next 3 years.
It can feel like we are in the middle of the jungle, making our way through it, but still unclear about how we will reach the destination, or how will that place look like!
The Saturn in Aries phase is about standing up in our true power: remembering who we really are and why we are here.
If you feel confused or annoyed at shifts happening, know that this makes sense. If you are able to see the budding new beginnings and your own progress in recent years, remember to be patient. If you are frustrated with life, this might be the information you need in order to move into greater alignment with your truth.

Upcoming: Mercury in Leo joins the Retrograde Party
We briefly mentioned this in the previous blog post about Cancer season, but we didn't get into detail about the Mercury retrograde in itself. Here are important Mercury retrograde dates to keep in your calendar:
June 26th: Mercury in Leo
June 30th: Mercury enters retrograde shadow (it will come back to this point later on so pay attention to the themes that arise from this day on)
July 17th: Mercury goes retrograde
July 31st: Mercury meets the Sun
August 11th: Mercury goes direct (no longer retrograde)
August 24th: Mercury out of retrograde shadow (leaves the topics being reviewed and moves on)
September 2nd: Mercury enters Virgo

What is Mercury Retrograde and why does it matter?
Mercury is the part of us that thinks, communicates, and learns. We all have an inner parrot, an inner gossiper/roaster, a calculator, an inner note taker. This is the logical, fast paced part of our brains. Mercury represents that activity inside of us.
When Mercury is in the microwav... ah uhm! I mean... retrograde, we can notice a gradual slowing down of all these mental functions (aka the pre-shadow that started on June 30th), which leads to a full stop (aka Mercury goes retrograde on July 17th), and a subsequent 3 weeks of "backward or inward" thinking (all the way from July 17 to August 11th).
What should you be mindful of?
Take note of these dates in your calendar. Just do it.
Observe your natal chart and find where Leo is, and see if you have any planets there. This will show you how relevant the retrograde of Mercury is to you.
Observe how much Gemini or Virgo you have in your chart. If you do, the Mercury retrogrades in general are always relevant to you.
There are 3 critical moments in this process which are the most retrograde days. The rest of the retrograde can feel less annoying.
Keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde 3-4 times every year. You have survived many Mercury retrogrades in your life.
Which are those 3 days that are extra retrograde?
There are 3 moments during the cycle that can feel super slow, delayed, confusing, annoying, and all the fun/not so fun parts of Mercury retrograde. Those are specifically, in this case:
July 17th: the day that Mercury goes retrograde
July 31st: the day that Mercury meets the Sun
August 11th: the day that Mercury goes direct
Why is that? Because when a planet is going in or out of retrograde they are literally stopped in the sky (from our pov). This means they are not moving forward or backwards, they are NOT MOVING at all. This generates a concentration of energy in that part of the Zodiac, but also for the planet of movement and speed, to not move at all is out of its nature.
And when a planet meets the Sun, they are not visible in the sky. It is said that they are being "burnt" by the Sun, which represents a reset. So July 31st can feel extra retrograde but also a moment of incipient clarity. The mind is being washed, rebooted, cleansed of old ideas that are getting in the way of our alignment.

Mercury retrograde in Leo 2025
Now that you know how to navigate Mercury retrograde in general, let's talk a bit about this specific retrograde in Leo.
Mercury in Leo is expressive, daring and loud. The fire energy of Leo gives the planet of the mind a lot of color and desire to shine with our creative ideas and expressive personality. It can be a moment of shining with our voice, however that looks like.
And these are exactly the themes that are to be reviewed during the retrograde of Mercury in Leo: how are you expressing your voice in the world? What does your heart really want to say?
One of the most important things about this year is that we have the South Node in Virgo (one of the eclipse points). The theme of this configuration is to show us where we are holding tightly to controlling the outcomes. Where are we being overly critical and perfectionist. What is our obsession with the details while the Universe is trying to dissolve it all so we can flow instead.
Mercury rules Virgo, so this retrograde will highlight the perfectionist in us, and how it ties to our ego. Are you able to let go of the tidiness fixation in order to give way to an aligned, truthful, and collectively impactful roar?
At the same time as Mercury goes retrograde, Mars (the planet of action and decisiveness, aggression and passion) meets that South Node in Virgo. Mars is the planet of Aries, which is where Saturn and Neptune are (we go back full circle). This makes the Mercury retrograde even more meaningful.
